Catamaran Lagoon 40 charter
The history of the Lagoon 40
The Lagoon 40 is a liveaboard cruising catamaran built in France by the Lagoon shipyard. Production began in 2019. It was presented for the first time at the Paris Boat Show in December 2017, alongside the Lagoon Seventy 8 and Lagoon 50 power yachts, introducing new visual features. Designed by Patrick le Quément and Marc Van Peteghem, the Lagoon 40 stands out for its new style. It benefits from improvements in performance and highly corrosion-resistant interior finishes, following the example of the previous models, Lagoon 39 and 400.
The technical aspects of the Lagoon 40
The spacious Lagoon 40, 11.74 meters long and 6.76 meters wide, combines superior technical aspects with exceptional sailing performance, offering a comfortable and safe cruising experience. This fin-keeled sailboat is equipped with a split sloop designed by the builders Van Peteghem and Lauriot Prévost. It can accommodate up to 10 people in its comfortable cabins. With a maximum draft of 1.35 meters, it is suitable for shallow areas. One of the main characteristics of the Lagoon 40 catamaran is its exceptional stability, thanks to its double hull. This stability not only makes for a smooth and pleasant navigation, but also provides unparalleled safety, making it the ideal vessel for long-distance cruises and exploring new horizons.
The interior and exterior layout of the Lagoon 40
The Lagoon 40 retains the essence of the shipyard with an unusual style. Its spacious cockpit facing the sea includes a large dining table, a relaxation area and a bench seat on the starboard side. The large lateral deck facilitates navigation and ensures greater safety. The cockpit provides access to an ergonomic gangway and a wide rear skirt for an optimal boarding experience. The interior spaces offer a fluid layout, abundant light and satisfactory facilities for families. The cabins offer a breathtaking view and the bright saloon has a huge dining table, with a U-shaped galley directly connected to the cockpit.
